Pointsbet App Store

PointsBet offers one of the most distinctive online sports betting platforms in the US. The 'PointsBetting' wagering style sets the PointsBet app apart from its competitors, allowing bettors to win (or lose) more money based on the final margin.

The PointsBet app launched in Michigan on Jan. 22, 2021, making Michigan the sixth state in which it operates. New bettors can sign up for a new account using the PointsBet promo code on this page, which yields up to $2,000 in risk-free bets.

Apple – The process for downloading the PointsBet iOS app is similar to most apps. Just head on over to the Apple App Store and download the app as you would any other app. The PointsBet VIP program VIP programs are rare to find with online sportsbooks, but PointsBet not only offers one, but they also have a very rewarding loyalty program. 7 Update: A haul of big bets were reported in the final hour before the Super Bowl began, including a $2.5 million bet, the second-largest on the game. A bettor at BetMGM risked $2.5 million on the Chiefs moneyline, which would net $1.51 million. Android users: Visit PointsBet.com to download the app directly from the website. The Play Store does not allow gambling or sports betting apps, even if they are offered by licensed providers. The PointsBet website provides clear instructions for downloading and installing the app directly. The PointsBet app itself is best described as sleek. PointsBet has been around since 2015 and has worked to perfect its sites to keep players as safe as possible. The casino is legal and regulated within the state of Michigan and can be played on desktop and mobile without any issues. PointsBet uses a firewall and SSL technology to protect user data.

Pointsbet App Store App

The risk-free fixed odds bet offers up to a $500 refund on your first fixed-odds wager at PointsBet. The risk-free PointsBetting wager applied up to a $1,500 rebate on your first PointsBetting wager made at the sportsbook.

The 'PointsBetting' style of wagering allows you to bet a maximum number of units on a contest and win (or lose) more money based on the final margin of the game. For example, if you bet 10x units on an even money point spread, and your chosen team wins by ten or more points, you win 10x units on the bet.

The $2,000 cap on the risk-free bet, and the fact that it's spread over two bets, makes the PointsBet welcome bonus one of the more generous in the industry. Many sportsbooks offer risk-free bet bonuses, but the $2,000 max is the highest we've seen at Gaming Today.

Other PointsBet Sportsbook promotions include daily odds boosts, game insurance, and a $100 refer-a-friend bonus.

The overall package of promotions at PointsBet gets high marks for creativity and player-friendly offers.

PointsBet Online Sportsbook Features (5/5)

Sports bettors can find one of the most robust selections of sports and ways to wager at PointsBet.

Clicking on the 'Sports A-Z' tag from the menu bar at the top left corner of the main lobby brings up a list of all available sports. All of the major domestic sports leagues appear on this menu, including the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, NASCAR, UFC, and more.

PointsBet frequently offers hundreds of different ways to wager on a single game. A Feb. 1 NBA contest between the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls, for example, offered 279 different available wagers.

That extensive list of bets included player props, quarters and halves bets, single-game parlays, and the platform's trademark PointBetting wagering style. The PointsBetting lines on the game looked like this:

PointsBetting: New York Knicks vs. Chicago Bulls (50x Cap)

New York Knicks+5
Chicago Bulls-3

Starting with the Knicks (+5) or Bulls (-3) as a baseline, you can bet up to 50 units on either side. After making that bet, you win a unit for every point your chosen team wins by after the point spread is applied.

If you bet on the Knicks (+5), for example, and New York wins the game by 10, you win 15 units (the 10-point margin of victory with the (+5) spread added. If you bet $100 units on the game and wagered at least 15 units, you would win $1,500 on the bet.

Other features include robust selections of alternative lines and the 'Name A Bet' parlay. 'Name A Bet' offers pre-packaged parlays with player-friendly odds boosts.

In February 2020, PointsBet announced a partnership with the NHL, which makes PointsBet a perfect sportsbook for NHL betting.

In addition to US-based leagues, PointsBet also offers a thorough selection of international betting markets. The PointsBet Sportsbook betting markets offer just about anything a bettor could want from a sportsbook.

Quality Of The Lines At PointsBet Sportsbook (5/5)

The PointsBetting wagering style is a one-of-a-kind way to bet that's only available at PointsBet. The sportsbook also offers a comprehensive menu of fixed-odds bets, however, including all of the most popular ways to bet on sports.

Options include moneyline, traditional point spreads, totals, parlays, in-play betting, futures markets, and more.

Skilled bettors can take advantage of the fact that several different online sportsbooks operate in the state. On any given bet, sharp bettors will shop for the best possible line across different sportsbooks.

For example, Michigan's online sports betting launch included ten different platforms going live on Jan. 22, 2021. Here's a look at how the moneyline odds on Super Bowl LV looked at PointsBet, versus what FanDuel Sportsbook and DraftKings Sportsbook had to offer:

Super Bowl LV Moneyline Odds

Tampa Bay BuccaneersKansas City Chiefs
PointsBet+145-171
DraftKings Sportsbook+143-162
FanDuel Sportsbook+140-166

Gaming Today took this snapshot of the Super Bowl LV Moneyline Odds on the Monday before the game. All three sportsbook offers similar lines on the game, but depending on which team you want to bet, you can find an edge by line shopping.

PointsBet offers the most favorable payout (+145) on Tampa Bay while offering the least player-friendly line on favored Kansas City. DraftKings Sportsbook, on the other hand, presents the most profitable moneyline bet on the Chiefs.

All sportsbooks build lines with a slight edge going to the house. This edge, known as vig, allows the sportsbooks to make money on games and works the same way as the house edge on any casino game.

Vig varies across different games and sportsbooks. For the three bets we've looked at above, PointsBet takes 3.92% vig. The DraftKings line takes a 2.98% house edge, while FanDuel's Super Bowl moneyline comes with a built-in 3.07% advantage for the sportsbook.

PointsBet offers lines that compete with anything else in the US legal sports betting market across all sports. For any given wager, PointsBet could be your best bet depending on what you're looking for.

This is your catch-all summary for all things PointsBet. Learn about bonuses, our PointsBet promo code SAORFBET, state eligibility, registration, deposits, and more. We've got you covered.

PointsBet Promo Code

PointsBet currently offers the same bonus in each state that it operates. Using our PointsBet promo code SAORFBET will yield up to $2000 in extra value. This value comes in the form of two risk-free bets worth a total of $2K, but they are different in the way they are used.

1.Risk-Free Fixed Odds Bet up to $500

To begin, PointsBet is allowing new users to test out their standard, fixed-odds wagering with a risk-free bet of up to $500. Fixed-odds includes pretty much all of your typical sports betting items: totals, spread, moneyline, futures, props, etc. Once you place one of those bets, the odds are locked-in, fixed, and cannot be changed.

If your first fixed-odds bet loses, PointsBet will send you bonus bets that equal the amount of the lost bet (max $500). If you wagered $200 and lost, they will send you $200 in bonus bets. Once your first wager settles it will take about 24 hours for the bonus bets to arrive.

2. Risk-Free PointsBetting Wager up to $1.5K

Next up is the big one. PointsBet has also built in a risk-free PointsBetting wager worth potentially $1,500. PointsBetting is high risk, high reward – so this offer serves as a potentially lucrative parachute. We'll detail the betting format more in depth below, but every point, play, or score can matter with PointsBetting. The wins are bigger, but the losses can be too.

To take full advantage of the offer, set your max loss at $1,500. Therefore even if the worst happens, you're covered through the risk-free promotion. If you lose this PointsBetting wager, the losses will be made up through bonus bets.

Betting Options on PointsBet Online Sportsbook

You've got an account. You've got money to wager. Now it's time to get involved in the action. PointsBet highlights the most popular games to bet on under its ‘Featured' tab. It will show you the spread, total, and moneyline options first. If you click directly on the event you'll see a wealth of other options though, so be sure to look around until you find exactly what you're looking for.

PointsBet uses a collapsible menu on the left side of the screen to display its betting markets. Once you've pinpointed the right bet(s), simply select it and you'll see it appear on your slip. Add numerous wagers to take part in multi-bet options like parlays. When ready, hit the ‘PLACE BET' button at the bottom of the betting slip to book it.

PointsBetting

PointsBetting, the wager that gives the sportsbook its name, is a revolutionary way to bet on sports. While its a high risk option, it has the potential for massive payouts, truly delivering a high reward.

When PointsBetting you first declare the amount you want as your 'stake'. For example, let's say you've chosen $10. Each 'unit' or point for the bet will then be worth $10. If the over/under for an NFL QB's yardage was set at 300 yards, and you took the over, you would earn $10 for every yard that the QB throws for in excess of 300. If they end the game with 325 yards, you'd earn $10 (stake) x 25 yards (unit) = $250.

Unfortunately it works in reverse, too. If the QB threw for just 275 yards, you would then be responsible for paying $250. PointsBetting offers the potential for big wins, and big losses… but rest assured bettors are engaged until the final whistle because every point, and every play counts.

Our exclusive PointsBet Promo Code SAORFBETallows for up to $2,000 in risk-free bets. Don't miss out.

PointsBet Sportsbook Active States and General Information

PointsBet has its sights set on conquering the legal sports betting market within the United States. The first mobile PointsBet experience went live in New Jersey on February 27, 2019, as a skin on the Meadowlands Racetrack license. Since then both online and retail sportsbooks have debuted in Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana.

State-to-State Differences

While PointsBet offers a very similar sports betting product in each state that it operates, there are some small details that differ that we'll summarize for you here.

New Jersey

PointsBet operates in New Jersey as a skin on the Meadowlands Racetrack gaming license, however, it is not the official brick-and-mortar sportsbook sponsor on site – that honor goes to FanDuel. This means that you cannot deposit to your PointsBet account in person, at the Meadowlands Racetrack. You can withdraw there, though.

In NJ you can't wager on in-state college teams, or any college sports being held in the state. Unfortunately this includes any NCAA tournament action or college bowl games that are hosted within New Jersey.

Iowa

Iowa initially launched with an in-person registration requirement, but as of January 1, 2021, that is a thing of the past. Remote registration is now available anywhere you can connect to the internet via your computer or mobile device.

In addition, Iowa does not permit in-game props on college sports, or any individual sports with participants under 18.

Illinois

Similar to New Jersey, in the state of Illinois sportsbooks are not permitted to offer action on in-state college teams. Northwestern, the Illini, etc., won't be found on betting sheets.

Hawthorne Race Course is PointsBet's partner within the state, where a retail betting facility is also available.

Colorado

Colorado does not have many restrictions on what you can bet on. Betting on drafts, award shows and all your favorite sports is fair game. The only restriction of note is that prop bets on college sports are not allowed in Colorado.

Michigan

PointsBet was among the first operators out of the gate in the Great Lakes State, opening its MI online sportsbook in January 2021. PointsBet is partnered in Michigan with the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians, who own the Northern Waters Casino.

From Browser to App

PointsBet accepts online wagers through both browsers and its modern mobile app, and generally speaking there's not much difference between the two. The mobile app has been optimized to work on a smaller screen, and offers a very similar, equally user-friendly experience. The Android app can be downloaded directly from the PointsBet website, while iOS users can find PointsBet right in the App store.

When running the PointsBet app you'll be required to permit it access to the internal GPS chip on your device, so that it can confirm that you are physically located in a state with legal online sports betting. Similarly, browser-based bettors will have to install a plugin on their computer to serve the same function.
